چکیده

In this paper we classify all ideal projections from C[x, y] onto the linear span of 1, x, y. In particular we show that every such projection is a limit of interpolating projections. That verifies one particular case of a conjecture of C. deBoor. §

Application of a Fourier Restriction Theorem to Certain Families of Projections in R3

We use a restriction theorem for Fourier transforms of fractal measures to study projections onto families of planes in R whose normal directions form nondegenerate curves.

Numerical investigation of lensless zoomable holographic multiple projections to tilted planes

This paper numerically investigates the feasibility of lensless zoomable holographic multiple projections to tilted planes. We have already developed lensless zoomable holographic single projection using scaled diffraction, which calculates diffraction between parallel planes with different sampling pitches. The structure of this zoomable holographic projection is very simple because it does no...

From Perspectivities to Perspective Collineations

Given distinct planes π and π′ in extended Euclidean space E3, and a point O on neither plane, the associated one-point projection with center O maps π bijectively onto π′. That’s a simple fact, but from the standpoint of real-world one-point projections such as perspective drawing or photography, this map, called a perspectivity, is actually a bit strange. To see why, we first review three typ...

Optimal Sphere Surface Points for Resolving Orientation in Images

This project is to investigate the problem of choosing point locations on the surface of a unit sphere in R such that the projection of the points onto any plane in R is visually dissimilar to the projection onto all other planes in R. The optimal set of point locations is the set that minimizes the similarity among all projections. The problem is a nonlinear inequality problem with quadratic c...
